Texas Recap - Day 2

After pulling up the photos for this day I realize the title should really be, The Day of Raid because as you'll see below, over half of the pictures are just of the dog.  My sister is known to go to animal shelters and go back a week later to adopt something.  In college it was one of the most hyper-active dogs I've ever met (Baci), then when her and her boyfriend moved to Miami it was two cats (who you'll see pictures of tomorrow).  Now that they are in Texas?  Raid - a crazy, also hyper, dog who wants nothing more but to play, play, play all day.  She's exhausting.

First thing we did on day 2 (Friday) was go to the jewelry store Nicole works at - she took my wedding ring to get cleaned up and such (I don't speak jeweler-talk) and I made a purchase I've been wanting to make for a while - pearl earrings!  There were so many other pretty things I wanted to get but had to remind myself that we don't have a money tree growing in our backyard!

Wearing my new earrings along with the beautiful necklace my sister gave to me upon our arrival!  I absolutely LOVE it and have worn it almost every day!

After visiting the store we hit up a few outlet malls (Tanger and Premium Outlets are located right next to each other) in San Marcos, just a quick drive from New Braunfels.  Our trip was short but efficient with everyone leaving with a few purchases.  Before heading back to the house we stopped for a quick coffee pick-me-up at the New Braunfels Coffee shop and I couldn't resist trying out another kolache.  I personally liked this one better than the one we had the day before but I was the only one who did!

mmmmm kolache's.  I definitely understand why people love these things.

Once we got home and took some time to relax Nicole and I got to work on homemade pizza for dinner.  PJ's parents joined us and it was a great evening filled with many laughs, delicious food and wonderful company!

And now the photos of Raid from day 2:

A rare moment of her sitting still!

Raid's favorite spot is on the back of the recliner so she can see out the front window.  She prides herself on being the guard dog of the house!  And yes, that is my sister sleeping/avoiding being trampled.  Raid doesn't care if you're sitting in that chair, she'll just jump right on up and make herself comfortable!

Raider! She's so cute when she's not being pyscho!

That dog seriously looks like a younger, sleeker version of Millie and if she is that hyperactive? Then I think we found Millie's long lost cousin or sister or something...:0

Kolaches are the best and your pearl earrings are beautiful.

That dog looks so cute! We used to have a dog that looked exactly like her too.

You and your sister are so pretty!
Aren't those called pigs in a blanket? Or am I thinking of something else? Either way, they look yummy!
